LegalityFirst, as noted above, hemp cannot contain more than 0.3 percent dry weight Delta 9-THC, per section 10113 of the Farm Bill. Any cannabis plant that contains more than 0.3 percent dry weight Delta 9-THC would be considered non-hemp cannabis—or marijuana—under federal law and would thus would not have any legal protection under this new legislation. Secondly, the legality of derivatives, so long as they come from hemp and remain under the threshold outlined in the farm bill, were upheld by the 9th circuit court appeals in May of 2022 in AK Futures v Boyd Street Distro.

Lab TestsEach farm we work with utilizes third party laboratory tests. All Buddy's branded products are tested by ACS labs: one of the only DEA certified laboratory testing facilities. Each of our stores have a binder with lab tests of each product on our shelves.

Do I Need a Medical CardNO MEDICAL CARD NEEDED. The 2018 Federal Farm Bill does require a state issued medical card for ability to purchase CBD or other hemp derived cannabinoids so long as they are under .3% dry weight Delta 9-THC
